Bells Beach

February 26, 2018

Another early morning wake up call and another great road trip. My friend Aleks came and picked me up and we set off at 4.30am and arrived at Bells Beach after an hour and a half drive. The sun was rising as we arrived and the carpark was full of surfers readying themselves for an early morning dip.

We made our way down to the viewing platform and after taking some shots of silhouettes sitting up on their boards in the ocean we soon realised it was perfect weather to put the drone up. Within seconds of putting my drone up I was in awe of the deep blues that only Bells could produce. One thing I love about the Australian coastline is the variety of colours within the ocean.

Ive always loved surfing and appreciated that there is a certain sense of beauty within the carves and lines surfers create while surfing a wave. A sport that Mother Nature has a huge say in, whats not to love.

I’m looking forward to heading back to Bells when the World Surf League returns, hopefully to take some snaps of Australian legend Mick Fanning.

We decided it was a great day for a mini road trip and took off for Macedon Pine Forest. Felix with his head out of the window had no idea that he was about to be front and centre of the camera with his mum Renae.
